HISTORY

Strong Mount Community Church is built on scriptures from the Holy Bible. We put our faith in the Trinity who is and continues to be God the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. We believe in prayer, because there is a higher power (God) who answers our prayers. If you believe and have FAITH the size of a mustard seed your prayers will also be answered.

On February 17, 2008, Strong Mount Community Church was formed, present was Pastor Bettye Davidson, Pastor Henry Davidson with their five youngest children. The Church grew to twenty-seven members, each member serving in different capacities of the Church.

Bible study was held on Tuesday evening from 7:00pm until 8:00pm. A few weeks later, “Let’s Talk About It,” started with the Pastors and teens coming together discussing problems and issues from home, school, and within their community. SMCC came together at noon each Saturday serving hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks. We gathered at the Church to discuss these issues our teens faced to encourage and pray, assisting them to look to God  for answers. Building relationships, trust and communications along with support for our teens.

Pastor Bettye teaches a women group, "The Excellent Wife." This group met bi-weekly to encourage women to stay faithful to God, discussing duties of a wife and what God's word teaches women in being excellent wives, Christian women, Christian mothers and other topics.
